Safety
All New Freelander 2´s long list of primary safety features includes the latest Electronic Traction Control, Anti-lock Braking System and Land Rover´s unique Terrain ResponseTM system. Seven airbags - two full-length curtain, two front, two upper-body and a driver´s knee bag - offer invaluable protection should you ever need it. Security is assured by means of remote control central locking on all doors and the Perimetric and Volumetric (where available) alarm systems.
Driving technology
With exceptional on-road and off-road performance, Freelander 2 offers a truly great drive. Available with Land Rover´s unique Terrain ResponseTM and latest generation Hill Descent Control technology, which engages smoothly when the foot brake is released, improving driver control on steep and slippery descents. Also linked to Hill Descent Control is Land Rover´s gradient release control system which ensures smooth hill starts whether ascending or descending.
