The Range Rover is equipped with a comprehensive range of active and passive safety aids. Thanks to extensive computer analysis and testing during design, it achieves impressive levels of safety, with a 4-star European New Car Assessment Programme (NCAP) rating to prove it.
Command driving position
The Range Rover´s legendary Command driving position provides its drivers with an elevated, confidence inspiring view of surrounding traffic. The improved visibility afforded by the Command driving position also means potential hazards can be spotted well ahead of time.
Monocoque body
The Range Rover´s advanced monocoque body with integrated chassis construction is 2.5 times stiffer than the previous model. This results in impressive ride, steering feel and straight-line precision for safe, predictable driving.
Double-locked doors
The Range Rover´s doors can be double locked for added security, disabling the interior door handles to prevent the doors being opened from the inside. Radio-frequency handsets with rolling codes offer a further layer of security.
Airbags and seatbelts
Front, head and side airbags are fitted as standard for driver and front passenger, with head airbags for rear outboard passengers too. Front seats are fitted with seat belt pretensioners.
ABS brakes and Emergency Brake Assist
Active safety features include a number of advanced braking aids. A combination of ABS brakes and Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) provides outstanding control when sudden braking is required.
Category One alarm
